Organization Funds

Organization Funds provide a vehicle for nonprofit organizations to establish endowments for long-term support. Contributions to these funds come from donors and from the organizations themselves.

Gifts to the community foundation are worth more in March

February 25th, 2021

MINNEAPOLIS, Kan.—The Ottawa County Community Foundation could earn additional dollars for the charitable grants in the community through a county-wide Match Month gift campaign. Throughout the month of March, the Dane G. Hansen Foundation will match all public gifts to the Ottawa County Impact Fund at the Ottawa County Community Foundation, up to $50,000. Every dollar donated will be matched with $1.50. The Ottawa County Impact Fund is an unrestricted community grant fund created by individuals who have contributed money to the Foundation for charitable uses to address the present and future needs of Ottawa County. Community foundation accepting spring grant applications MINNEAPOLIS, Kan.—The Ottawa County Community Foundation is accepting applications for spring grants. Online applications open February 1 and are due Thursday, April 1, 2021.   This year, over $58,000 in grants is available to charitable projects in Ottawa County. This cycle will fund local community projects that meet one or more of the following criteria:   Programs and projects that address education, health care, community social services and security, conservation and environment, arts and culture, and community beautification.
