Match Month Results!
Ottawa County Community Foundation is celebrating a successful Match Month in March 2024. Gifts were made to the Ottawa County Impact Fund, an unrestricted community grant fund which addresses present and future needs of Ottawa County. Total donations during the month were $75,334.85. The Dane G. Hansen Foundation matched gifts up to $50,000 by 200% while the Patterson Family Foundation matched up to $70,000 by 100%. This created a total community impact of $245,334.85!!
Ashley Swisher, OCCF Executive Director, stated, “The Ottawa County Community Foundation had another successful match year! This year the partnership with Dane G Hansen Foundation as well as Patterson Family Foundation multiplied our giving and we are so grateful. These organizations and those that committed financially to help rural areas thrive will leave a legacy that is able to make an impact for future generations. Our mutual value is belief in small communities deserving of opportunities. As the Greek proverb says, ‘A society grows great when men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit.’ Thank you to all who share in a common vision and understand how to work together to make it happen!”
