Ottawa County Community Foundation Announces Scholarship Recipients

MINNEAPOLIS, Kan.— The Ottawa County Community Foundation has awarded over $15,000 in
scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year.

  • The John and Olive L. Cornellisson Scholarship is for graduating seniors of a USD 239 or USD
    240 high school who are pursuing further education in the areas of agriculture or vocational
    training. Previous recipients are also eligible to apply. Levi Smith and Kirk Heimer, both of
    Minneapolis; Kolbie Bartlett, Abilene; Weston Schrader, Wells; John Hendrick, Ada; and Cooper
    Matthews, Bennington, each received this scholarship.

The foundation is currently home to one scholarship fund, which was established by area donors to
support students who are furthering their education. More information about the foundation’s
